Our Ranking Methodology
We found tuition rates on each school’s website and enrollment data from the National Center for Education statistics. We used the resident tuition rates whenever applicable. When tuition was listed per credit, we multiplied by 24 to get the per year cost. This was assuming a year is made of two semesters of 12 credits each. We understand that some students may complete these programs on a part-time basis or take fewer credits per semester. The rates listed reflect full-time attendance.
We first sorted the schools by tuition and then by enrollment. We assigned points to each school, with a maximum of 20 points for tuition cost and 20 points for enrollment. We combined these scores to get the final score for ranking.
