There are varying types of certificates available – from a Bachelor’s Degree to the field-specific degrees associated with each college in the United States. A Bachelor’s Degree program prepares students to enter the workforce in different fields, including commerce and business, education and business administration, or the law. A Bachelor’s Degree program lasts 3 years and includes 15 credits, usually offering a concentration. Some college programs lead to associate’s degrees, which typically involve a specific area of concentration. Some School of Social Work (SWE) programs provide associate’s degree.
Associate’s Degree is the most common type of degree program offered in the United States, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree, Masters Degree, and Doctoral Degree. Some psychology degrees are related to nursing degree or nursing program.
Making up the majority of education, professional certification is a valid way to enter the workforce. The amount and type of certification that a student will earn depend on their school and management skills set. There are two types of professional certificates and licenses available:
Coursework to obtain a certification with a professional agency upon completion of a plan, schedule, or design. They typically include 2 or more years of work experience which constitutes an education.
Credential to obtain a professional credential and release the credential through a certification process
A professional certificate is an educational credential covering a skill set, usually in a specific area of the field or employment area. The three most common professional certificates available are the Master’s, Bachelors, and Doctoral. When it comes to earning a professional certificate, the individual should be sure to check the school to which the student has graduated since licensure will vary depending on the specialty certification. Coursera (formerly EduCert) offers a program called a Professional Certificate which incorporates a portfolio of students who’ve received a professional license. The Professional Certificate can be obtained online and by visiting www.service.edu.edu/postsecondary-certificate/.
School of Social Work and Counseling: This academic degree is qualified to provide continuing education to educators and helps teach the next generation of educators. It also prepares employees to take the Credentialing for the Professional Practice (CFP) exam administered by the Board of Social Work and Counseling.
Bachelor of Arts (BA): AP or Bachelor’s degree for intermediate or advanced level (courses must be completed before earning an associate’s degree)
Master of Science in Counseling and Public Affairs: A degree that is eligible to be accepted into a master’s degree program, an adult or children’s program, or a master’s degree.
Cisco Certification: The completion of a certification program is required for circulation to a graduate or university (consult job description for specific policy).
Credential or License: Examinations offered by a professional association or credential through the State Council on Professional Development.
Any student who plans to attend a two-year or four-year college should consider earning a Bachelor’s degree prior to transferring to another institution. Baccalaureate, Associate, and Bachelor’s degree programs are more common at CSU campus than at community college. Contact an admissions advisor to help determine if it is possible to earn a Bachelor’s degree.
Associate Degree: An associate degree or Bachelor’s degree. Some schools may require at least 2 years of college experience in order for a degree to be accepted. Priority admission consideration should be given to a student who plans to attend a CSU campus or an ABET campus.
Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor’s Graduate Degree: A degree that is defined in a graduate degree or B.G.D., or Direct Transfer Agreement.
College degrees are categorized into three main categories: undergraduate, graduate, and professional.
Undergraduate Degree: An undergraduate degree allows students to enroll in a degree program to be one step closer to obtaining a professional degree. This is usually considered admission to higher education. Some colleges offer an undergraduate degree through a transfer degree. Refer to the data and description for education that is offered within the university or department.
Graduate Degree: A student who wants to earn an advanced or advanced training or qualification to be trained in a certain academic unit as a Master’s degree, doctorate, or similar.
Associate Degree: A student who wants to earn an associate degree but only one year in school. Currently, this degree is only offered through Coursera (formerly EdX). The transfer degree that a student receives from EDX is also referred to as BFA or BA.
Doctoral Degree: A student may not pursue a master’s degree in a program related to a discipline, but will pursue a doctoral degree. Having an associate degree is usually considered doctoral education under the ACL.
Both of these degrees are offered at any college or university. However, the graduate degree is the equivalent of an associate degree and means that the student has completed a prerequisite course of study and is able to consider graduate school. The distinction between a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate degree lies largely in the combination of specialization and duration of study in addition to the degree requirements for specialization. When a student chooses to pursue a bachelor’s degree to receive specialized training or educational qualification, they are also taking advantage of specialization as well as an additional year of study in a specific field.
Thus, a bachelor of applied science or bachelor of liberal arts (B.A.S.) at California Community College during college or university or bachelor of science (B.S.) at the University of California (UC) Berkeley is considered greater overall.
The graduate degree was the name given to the degree program that allows students to fulfill the requirement for higher education. In order for the student to satisfy their graduate education, it is usually necessary to fulfill the bachelor’s degree. Graduate school is a preference for a student enrolling in a degree program.
Master’s Degree: A program that helps a student to obtain a doctoral degree, additional programs, and an advanced level of education. This Master’s degree is extremely common and is in many schools as well as online. Overall, a graduate degree can be divided into 4 primary categories.
Doctoral Program: An academic program in which a student goes for a master’s of education (M.Ed.) without considering a doctoral program.
Master’s Program: A program that can be seen as another way to fulfill a student’s education requirement. A Master’s degree program is defined as a master’s degree that can be offered by a university or another institution of higher education. This degree usually takes one year to earn.
Online Degree: A student can opt for a graduate degree in education by attending college or university online. Online master’s degree consists of instructor-led courses and some faculty based in an online environment. The program is basically two years in which a student gets the academic training by visiting faculty. The curriculum of the graduate program is typically mechanical, technical, and liberal arts.
Bachelor’s Degree: A student who has obtained a master’s degree with some specialization in a field. For example, the teacher of English has earned a degree in English. The graduate student, likewise, has earned a master’s in accounting. The curriculum of the graduate program is normally computer science, liberal arts, or a combination of these categories.
Certificate: Though it is used as an alternative to a graduate degree, the certificate program is not the same as a graduate program. A certificate can be awarded given by an all-male or a group-male faculty. A graduate certificate may include a dissertation or another teaching unit. Students can also opt for an MBA program.
Teaching: A student can choose to pursue teaching at a college, university, or school. Teachers may teach one another. The student can pursue a master of education (M.Ed.) that can be posted to his or her classroom web page. The teaching unit is usually a term that is used to describe the graduate degree. Students can also attend graduate school.
To get a graduate degree, one must have a specific state of specialization. Multifaceted B.S. and M.Ed. degrees are available to students who belong to these areas. An example of a specialist degree program is discussed in more detail later in this section.
Master’s Degree: This is the M.Ed. the degree that can be earned after a bachelor’s degree. The educational Specialist degree is particularly common in schools.
EDS Degree: An education specialist degree meets the requirement for entering the field. It can be earned after taking an undergraduate class in early childhood education.
Scholarship: A scholarship can be granted to students by the state of specialization for an education specialist program.
Specialist Degree (Other of Education Specialist): An education specialist degree program can be followed by another education specialist degree program.
After completing a bachelor’s degree, the student looking for a professional degree can try studying for a professional master’s degree by attending a professional doctorate. It is also possible to count A.S.E. or A.I. degrees that can be counted as professional degrees.
Academic degree: A student enrolled in a professional degree program, like a Master’s degree or Ph.D., can work full-time in order to stay in school or go to medical school.
Medical degree: A student who has earned a medical degree gets a doctorate in medicine from a university or an institute of applied science. The student must take something similar to the MPH training after finishing a master’s degree.
A college graduate helps his or her field become more attractive. Because more students work hard to get a college degree, more college is a necessity for higher education. Every year there are 15 million graduating students enrolled in college, while only 4.5 million students enter the workforce themselves. In fact, as of 2011 according to a Forbes Business Report, the number of hiring managers expects 1.1 million job openings.
So, if you are one of the awareness, one of the bachelor’s degree holder, one of the high school graduate, a high school diploma in your pocket, and a college graduate looking for an online degree, finding out how to acquire a college degree is your first step towards a fulfilling college and graduate education.
