We searched almost 30 institutions that offered an online bachelor’s in project management, then filtered out ones that weren’t regionally accredited (the highest level of accreditation) and highlighted those that had an additional stamp from the Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC). Then we ranked the remaining by lowest tuition (see Our Ranking Methodology for complete details).

2. George Fox University
George Fox University is only one of two institutions in Oregon that offer a bachelor’s degree in project management. The adult degree can be completed in 16 months, preparing students for Project Management Institute (PMI) certification using videos, presentations, reading assignments, research, discussion, and chats. Coursework to earn the needed 36 credits includes Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ethics, team leadership, and change management.

3. Minnesota State University — Moorhead
An online bachelor’s in project management from Minnesota State University can be earned with 60 credits or less with an AA, AS, or AAS in accounting to law enforcement, graphic design to hospitality lodging. Along with a BS, students can add certifications — like Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® or Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management — or attend Dale Carnegie classes, local and national conventions, or do on-the-job learning. Another Minnesota school on our list, Bemidji State University offers a bachelor’s degree with three concentration options — construction and facility management, product development, or operations management. Online (or part-time) courses under the Technology, Art, and Design umbrella include the impact of technology, cost and economic analysis, quality assurance, safety and risk management, and principles of professional development. Students can also earn Lean Six Sigma or technology management certification, as well as participate in internships.

5. Colorado State University Global

One of Michigan’s first online colleges and oldest institutions, Davenport University provides financial aid for 95% of its students in over 50 diplomas, associates, bachelor’s, and master’s programs. The bachelor’s in technology project management can be earned part- or full-time with classes taught by PMI-certified instructors in areas like security foundations, data analytics, world diversity, and accounting. Using the National Center for Education Statistics College Navigator, we searched the database for bachelor’s degrees in project management.
From the 26 we found, we removed any institutions that weren’t regionally accredited, were TBD, didn’t have an online bachelor’s in project management, or their last accreditation was before January 20, 2021. We ranked the remaining by lowest in-state tuition costs (minus fees, etc.), listing only the top 15 institutions.
