How We Rank Schools

We took the tuition rate and student-to-teacher ratio for each school offering an associate degree in Web Design. In-state tuition rates were used for each school. Tuition rates are listed per semester and the average associate’s degree takes four semesters to earn.

Schools were first sorted by tuition rate and then sorted by the student-to-teacher ratio. Each school gets a maximum of 50 points, with 50 going to the lowest tuition rate and 50 going to the lowest student-to-teacher ratio. In cases where the student-to-teacher ratio was not available, we assigned zero points in that category. By adding both scores together we get a school’s final ranking on our list.
