1. Texas A&M

Earn you Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from the Texas A&M University College of Pharmacy. Texas A&M boasts some impressive professional statistics. 92% of students in the class of 2019 graduated on time; 99% passed the PCOA exam on their first attempt; 94% passed the NAPLEX on their first attempt; and 93% were practicing pharmacy in the state of Texas by August 2020. The flagship institution of the University of Texas system based in Austin. Based in an a incredibly thriving city, the University of Houston College Pharmacy may be your ideal destination for earning your PharmD. The minimum GPA considered by the University of Houston is 2.0 overall and a 2.0 in prerequisite courses. All applicants must complete a minimum of 25 volunteer hours in order to apply. 4. Texas Tech University

Based out of the world-renowned Health Sciences Center, the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy at Texas Tech University can be your gateway to becoming a pharmacist. Classes offered at four different campuses (Dallas, Lubbock, Abilene, and Amarillo), but you will still earn a Texas Tech degree. Strong applicants will have a 3.0 GPA or better and score in the 50 percentile or higher on their PCAT examination. 5. University of North Texas

The Ben and Maytee Fisher Fisch College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas-Tyler may be your destination for a pharmaceutical education. Applicants are guaranteed an interview if they have a 3.3 overall GPA, a 3.3 or higher in math and science courses, and you score in the 50th percentile or higher on your PCAT. This is another excellent pharmacy program located in Houston. The Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy is an incredibly strong academic program that will prepare you for a career in pharmacy.
