The Formula Used to Rank Each College

As you may have noticed, there are points behind the name of each institution. These points were given based on two criteria: the annual in-state tuition costs and graduation rates. What we did is began by listing our top 15 schools on a spreadsheet, along with the data for our two criteria. As soon as this information was determined, we ranked each school by giving the school with the lowest tuition a 20 and the one with the highest cost a 1. The schools in between got between the numbers 2 and 19. The same was done when it came to the graduation rate, except the highest graduation rate was given a 20 and the lowest was given a 1. Once there were points for both categories, they were added together for each school, giving us the point total listed behind the college’s name.

Hopefully, this information will help you determine where to further your education. We are here to help and welcome comments from anyone who believes some of the information is incorrect, as well as if you would like your institution listed in one of our articles.
