Best master's in digital marketing programs badge

Due to the worldwide nature of business today, the way companies market their products or services has changed. In order to reach clients, businesses now need to think beyond the old-school standards of television, radio, and print advertising and expand into the realms of social media and online marketing.   New analytics tools specially designed for online selling and promotion can help companies successfully identify and target their unique customer base while communication via email and chat features can provide instant feedback on customer satisfaction. T These changes to marketing strategy make it possible to reach a consumer base far beyond a company’s geographical location.

To meet the needs these new changes create, many schools are now offering master’s degrees in Digital Marketing, Digital Strategy, Digital Media, and other related fields.. Such programs focus on a variety of marketing topics including customer demographics, consumer behavior, marketing research and strategy, business communication, advertising, economics, and finance.  Though many companies and small businesses are experts in the product they create or the service they provide, they don’t always excel at knowing how to market what they offer. Individuals who have received master’s degrees in the field of digital marketing can therefore help companies achieve a new level of success. Salaries for those in this field range from $37,570 to $128,320 a year, with an average yearly salary of $63,920.

Sacred Heart University

  • Fairfield, Connecticut

Sacred Heart University offers students a unique opportunity that can’t be found elsewhere. For students who may not have the grades needed to directly enter their MS in Digital Marketing program, they offer a short 4-course program for graduate marketing certification. Upon successful completion of this program, students have a certificate that can improve their career or they can apply the credits earned toward the Master’s program. This is a great opportunity for those who want to get their degree but are either rusty from years away from school or have found their grades a bit low.

Although they waive the GMAT, the requirement for both the MS in Digital Marketing (MSDM) program and DM certificate is a 3.0 GPA, strong letters of recommendation, transcripts, resume, and personal letter. If a student is near the 3.0 mark, (2.8 or higher), the certificate can be an option to get an assessment of the student, which can lead to a transfer from the DM Certificate to the MSDM program.

The program is STEM Certified, which has made for both domestic and international appeal. In looking to be flexible with the course delivery method, Sacred Heart University MSDM has implemented SHUflex, which has allowed for either face-to-face, online synchronous, AND online asynchronous delivery, giving students the possibility of taking more of an online approach to the courses.
