Methodology

We have used a specific methodology to rank the best schools to earn an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. Schools were graded on two metrics and were awarded points based on these metrics. The first metric that was used to score the schools was the cost of tuition per credit. Schools that listed their tuition cost as a yearly cost were first divided in half, assuming two semesters, and then further divided by 12, assuming 12 credits per semester. In all cases, out-of-state tuition was used. Schools with the lowest cost per credit were given the most amount of points and a more favorable ranking.

Secondly, schools were scored based on the overall enrollment size. Schools with fewer students were viewed as more desirable because students would gain more one-on-one instruction. Schools with the fewest amount of students were given the most amount of points and a more favorable ranking. The score for the tuition metric and enrollment metric were added together, giving a total score. The school with the most amount of points received our highest ranking.
