Our Ranking Methodology
We came up with a final ranking for each school on this list by using our proprietary formula. Our formula uses each school’s yearly tuition rate and graduation rate to come up with a rating. Schools that have different tuition rates for resident students and non-resident students only has their resident rate considered. A multiplier equivalent to the percentage of students who did not graduate was added to the tuition rate to come up with the rating. This is how it works: College #1 has a yearly tuition rate of $10,000 and a graduation rate of 50%. Its rating would be 15,000 (10,000 x 150%). A lower rating is good for a school’s ranking.
