1. University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley was established in 2013 as a public university. One of UTRGV’s programs is a Master’s in Health Informatics. The school offers flexible scheduling for working adults, so you can take your time if needed. However, they also offer accelerated courses that allow you to graduate in as little as 12 months if you choose.

2. University of Cincinnati

The University of Cincinnati has always been committed to providing quality education to working adults. Students can take just one credit hour per semester to be considered part-time. UC was one of the first schools to offer online classes and now offers a fully-online Master’s Health Informatics degree. Both financial aid and payment plans are available to make the program more accessible to all.

3. Brandeis Graduate Professional Studies

Brandeis University, also known as Brandeis Graduate Professional Studies, was founded in 1948 in Waltham, Massachusetts. Brandeis offers one of the shortest MS in Health Informatics at only 30 required credit hours. There are also several start dates throughout the year, so you can start when your schedule allows.

5. University of Missouri Online

The University of Missouri’s School of Medicine was founded in 1872 in Columbia, Missouri. It has four UM System universities that provide more than 260 degree programs and certificate options. Its MS in Health Informatics is delivered mostly online, but it does require some campus visits. The program is typically completed in around two years, though there is the possibility of completing it sooner or taking longer, if necessary.

6. Kent State University

Kent State University began as a teacher training facility in Kent, Ohio, in 1910. It has grown to offer a total of 300 majors and degrees, including an online MS in Health Informatics. Kent State University offers some of the most affordable tuition rates, but there are still numerous grants and scholarships to take advantage of.

7. Northeastern University

The University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions was established in San Francisco, California, in 1954 by the Sisters of Mercy. Their Health Informatics degree program can be completed in as little as one year, but most students take up to two years.
