Our Ranking Methodology
Our rankings are created using a formula that considers two vital statistics: a school’s yearly tuition rate and its graduation rate. If the school in question has differing tuition rates for in-state and non-resident students, we only considered the in-state rate. Our formula takes this rate and adds a multiple equivalent to the percentage of enrolled students who did not graduate from the school. For example, if School #1 has a yearly tuition rate of $40,000 and a graduation rate of 50%, it would have a rating of 60,000 (40,000 x 150%). Lower ratings result in more favorable rankings on our list.
