    Our Ranking Methodology

We use a simple and straightforward formula to rank the schools on this list. This formula takes into account two statistics for each school, namely each school’s yearly tuition rate and graduation rate. Some of the schools on this list charge different tuition rates for non-resident and resident students. If this is the case for a particular school, we only considered that school’s resident tuition rate. We came with each school’s final rating by taking its tuition rate and adding a multiplier that is equivalent to the percentage of students who did not graduate from that school. Here’s how it works: School #1 has a yearly tuition rate of $10,000 and a graduation rate of 70%. Its rating would be 13,000 (10,000 x 130%). A lower rating will result in a more favorable ranking for a specific school.
